Devil in a Blue Dress.... Color Blocking from my view...

I'm late!!! Haha! Honestly for months I've been curious about the color blocking hype! Trying to figure out what it is outside of putting two colors together that you think balance each other well. I  mean I actually googled the meaning before I "jumped"  right in!! <---Yep it was that serious... Only to realize that I color block all the time, it's not rocket science, and I really over think things sometimes. This past weekend, a friend of mine was celebrating her birthday/housewarming and I decided to Color Block. Cool Spring/Summer colors are better to use when CB'ing  and I felt that I could still get away with wearing these colors this time of year. The bottom is actually a dress that I got from Torrid, but I'm not a big fan of showing cleavage so I put  the cropped shirt over it. Accessorised heavily with pearls and wallah!!

I would wear a different pair of earrings though, I think my hair may have been too long and it looks like I don't have on any.

My Combo: Purple/Royal Blue/ and Teal (I think). Check it out and let me know what you think.

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!! If you're ready for the weekend say #pOw!! LOL

So, I discovered a new thrift store this week...SMH it's called Mission: Possible and OMG I got lost on my lunch break... AGAIN!! Got some really cute stuff for the sum total of $10.00. Just so happened that they have weekly tag colors that equal a certain percentage off. Now I didn't know this until I got to the register, so when the cashier rung up the items I was super stoked!!! I was way under my budget !! With all this stuff I'm getting, I need more places to go!!! Anyhoo check out my finds for this week! I'm so excited!

Natural for a day... (Well actually less than 2 hours)

I had been wanting to cut my hair for years but was scared of how it would look! One December day in 2009, I just did and it's been me and the scissors ever since. I've been having a whole lot of fun with my short hair, but the non-time consuming weaves have been my friend for the past few months.  My sister is natural and all of that natural talk had me wondering what kind of curl pattern I have!!!! Curiosity is #winning, so the last time I took my hair down I cut the remainder if the permed hair out.

Now, I must admit that at first sight my response was  "uh huh! This aint it.." I was sooooo NOT feeling it! I'm sure it was just the initial shock of it all, but I felt UGLY!!! In dramatic mode I swear I heard India Arie's 'I am not my hair' playing in the background! HA! It's funny because my theory is when you do something drastic to change your appearance, most people that you encounter afterwards, didn't know what you looked like before.  So there is nothing they have to compare too. This is what I always tell people! Own your look.... but I found it hard to take my own advice. <---It happens!

Anytime I do something different with my hair, routinely I put on full make-up and one of the baddest pair of earrings I have! Silly to you maybe, but I'm visual and need to see the full effect. This time was no different and my TWA grew on me!!! LOL The thought of being able to wash and go at the gym in the morning was taking over!!! Only thing holding me back now was all of the attention I knew I would be getting at work. After all, I made an announcement that I was going to wear my Fro, and one of the responses was "For what, Halloween...?"! *Blank Stare* AwkwardBlackGirl (by the way this web series is hilarious) moment.

I decided to weave it back up that night, because I want to let it grow some. I also want a splash of color at the top. I'm so excited!!! I will be rocking my fro soon!!! I
Took some pictures before I put the weave back in. Check them out!

Paid more in PAYLESS... But it was worth it! =)

So... I have been on the hunt for these shoes...

Womens BrashWomen's Komet Platform Pump

Only to find out that the ones I can afford DO NOT FIT! =(  I've been looking everywhere but apparently in round toe heels, I need a size !@  I mean 12. *sigh* Don't get me wrong, I have a closet full on non-Red bottoms LOL! But I'm always in search for something with some color! and some ROUND TOE platforms or wedges.

I was online browsing, and decided to flow through Payless website and to my surprise, the shoes were NOT as CHEAP as they have been before. But the quality and style looked a whole lot better. I was sleeping on Payless!!!! #ArrestMe

I saw, I bought, I conquered!!! I bought a black, pinkish nude and a gray pair!!!
