The Bigger the Better... CLUTCH

Happy MONDAY...

I'm working at Joann Fabric and crafts part-time so I get 1st dibs on the remnants or leftover fabric. So, I'm digging through the bins and what did I find?!?! A Gem! More Leopard Print Faux Fur!

Faux fur or fur will forever be a trend during the winter season and instead of making the typical vest or jacket, I decided I wanted a clutch bag...Like a Bigger than life, leopard print, faux fur, Clutch bag!

It ended up being about a 30 min project. Using Velcro instead of a zipper, would've cut that time in half!

I thrifted this dress last year and #Thriftflipped it to resemble a bodycon. I've really been crushing on velvet lately, partially because It's so forgiving!

No Limit (s) : A week of THIS Army Fatigue Trench Coat...

I had a dream... yes, a dream about this coat. Woke up, googled it, and I saw nothing. The way my Creativity is set up these days, if I can't buy it, (which I couldn't) I'll make it! So I went to the thrift store, bought three jackets, and put them all together.

The next question I had was, what would I wear this coat with? Answer: Hell, Army Fatigue IS the new black. So let's just say Everything! LOL I plan to dress this up, dress it down, I'm wearing this mug to the gym, and the laundry mat! HAHAHAHA

Since the University of Alabama won the National Championship last night. I had to add the houndstooth. Today we're mixing prints.

Clothes in Shxt: A Fashion tribute to Solange Knowles Day 2

It's no secret that my favorite Knowles' sister fashion wise is SOLANGE hands down!  I mean can you blame me? Her style is creative, it's forward, it's unapologetic, fierce, fabulous, represents freedom and speaks to my creative soul!

When styling for clients her fashion profile is one I draw from for inspiration I had an idea. For my Birthday, I wanted to dedicate a fashion week to Solange. I'd take a few of her looks, recreate them (whether it be sewn by me or thrifted), take pic and post! #CelebrityStyleCapture Well, I ended up breaking my camera =(. But, where there's a will there's a way! Lucky for me I have friends who just so happen to be MU and photography experts!

I get to dress like Solange for a whole week and I'm too excited about it.

Let's get into this $1200 Michelle Mason Leather Sleeved Trench tho! I was so bothered at how hot this was, that my creative wheels begin to turn! Now, there's no way that I can afford this, but I can recreate it! I thrifted my Trench! It was a $4.99 buy! My first thought was to use spray paint, but I had some extra red fabric around the house. I didn't feel that my coat was long enough anyway so I did a little sewing by adding the red to the bottom of the coat and whallah!

Thrifty Thursday: 2.5.15

Man I'm on Cloud nine... Two posts in one week! HAHA! So I visited with my older sister this weekend and she took the time point out that I haven't been consistent with my Thrifty Thursday posts. So this one is for you 'Laine!

I went to a new thrift spot yesterday. Went in on a whim and I LIVED!! Had to cut back on my thrifting lately due to #BUDGETCUTS LMBO and plus since thrifting is the newest craze, the prices are going up! *rolls eyes* I saw this Jacket and said hmmmm... It's textured, it's reversible, it's colored, it's oversized, it's PERFECT!

Went with the black side and rolled the blue side up...
Dress was thrifted by way of ING/ Boots came from Simply Fashions

Devil in a Blue Dress.... Color Blocking from my view...

I'm late!!! Haha! Honestly for months I've been curious about the color blocking hype! Trying to figure out what it is outside of putting two colors together that you think balance each other well. I  mean I actually googled the meaning before I "jumped"  right in!! <---Yep it was that serious... Only to realize that I color block all the time, it's not rocket science, and I really over think things sometimes. This past weekend, a friend of mine was celebrating her birthday/housewarming and I decided to Color Block. Cool Spring/Summer colors are better to use when CB'ing  and I felt that I could still get away with wearing these colors this time of year. The bottom is actually a dress that I got from Torrid, but I'm not a big fan of showing cleavage so I put  the cropped shirt over it. Accessorised heavily with pearls and wallah!!

I would wear a different pair of earrings though, I think my hair may have been too long and it looks like I don't have on any.

My Combo: Purple/Royal Blue/ and Teal (I think). Check it out and let me know what you think.
