OVERSIZED: Go big or Go home!

Good Morning good people!

Last week this time I was waking up in the Bronx headed to The VIEW! Time goes by so fast man!
Round here, I'm kinda known for all things big! Big Hair, Big Earrings, Big Style you get my drift. I wanted some big pants, and since I'm working on my craft, I made some! My style is forever changing, and I'm really feeling all things vintage fashion!

I made these pants for my NYC trip (Blog post coming soon). But I wasn't really comfortable with the way they were fitting. I forgot I wanted high waist so I cut them regular. If you sew, you know I was in the house Like DAMN!!! The fabric is not stretch  Camel Toe is a no go! HAHAHAHA!

Since the temp dropped considerably in the last 24 hours, I remembered this sweater that was gifted to me. When people know that you don't mind hand me downs, you get all kinds of treasures! Plus gold accents are right up my alley! It's long enough to cover the "problem" area!

BURR! It's cold, and I need to get to work! Have a great weekend!

Style Notes: LEGACY

Good Morning and Happy Monday!!!

My Mom moved back in early summer and the treasures I found LAWDD!!! One of them was this fur vest and I almost hit a split! LOL Not for real cause I'm not that Limber! I don't know if your Parents are like mine, But you know it came with a story, the Fur belonged to my Great Grandma!

So GGrandma was styling huh? I'm not surprised. I look through some of my Mom's pics and be like "Ma, where is this jumpsuit now?!" She laughs about her "It" days and tells us girls "Y'all can have it" The only thing is, being in the south, you stick out like a sore thumb wearing pieces like this. But, this past weekend, there was a cold front that left us with 33 degree weather!

Shug Ligon left a legacy... 3 generations ago she rocked this... and I'm more than happy to slide in where she left off!

Happy Monday!

Thrifty Thursday: Thrift Flip Blue Jean Dress Edition

Good Morning!!  Happy Thrifty Thursday!!

This Summer I have been completely obsessed with all things blue jean De-stressed blue jean! I thrifted this dress a few months ago, waiting for the time to RIP it to shreds! Circle skirts/dresses, will be around for a while, and the thinking/recreating wheels begin to turn!

It's a size 14 no stretch so it took a lil less than an act of congress to get in it! (I'm not a 14... YET! LOL) So I opened the sides to give my Boobies some room and Took some length off the bottom.

Next I wanted it to be a scoop neck or to fall off or the shoulders a bit so I recreated the neck line, by making it wider.

Then, I used the ole trusty Clorox and let the bleach land where ever it may!

This was  End Result !
Dress and Belt Thrifted
Shoes: Citi Trends
Ankle Wrap: CVS ( I was really clumsy with some shears!)

Me and My Mommie! She was editing our "Usies"!  LOL I can't take her serious!

*Purple kisses*

Hope you had a great week so far!
